Fading Into Static
A downloadable game for Windows
Hello. Thank you for looking at this game. I have one thing to say before I tell you the story of the game. If you are confused on what to do when you see a door, walk up to it and press "E". That is the interact button. The story of this game, is that you are an eleven-year-old boy. You had got a new VHS camera a few days before, so you decide to go on a walk to test it out. Before you leave, you realize that the camera has a flashlight. You decide to wait to go at night, to test out the flashlight. You open the front door to see if it's night, and it looks like it's almost night. You sit and wait for it to become dark. You are still waiting. You open your eyes after blinking, and realize you are somewhere you don't recognize. You start to record on your VHS camera, just to have proof of where you were. You don't know how you got there, but you know you have to leave. You decide to try to find an exit. While you are looking for an exit, you open your eyes to a forest path. You don't know how you got there, but you remember there being forest paths near your house. Where are you? How did you get there? Where were you before? Are you close to your house? You start to record on your camera, using the flashlight as a light source. You go down the forest path, wondering where you are. After a few seconds, you find a building. It's not your house, or a building you've seen before. You go in the building because there's nowhere else to go. If you went further down the forest path, you might have gotten lost. Inside of the building is a table and chairs. It looks like no one lives in the building. I will not tell the rest of the story. The game explains the rest. This game barely a horror game, but could also be described as sad game, but it depends on the person. I would describe it as a little sad, but you might not. Also, sorry if this game seems too much like a "cash grab" because of the VHS filter, the story, the designs, or something else. This game was intended to be calmer and not be as intense as other horror games. Thank you for looking at this game. I also want to thank "LankyLeigh", "Dutch", "Eden_dev", and "kingsberry" for showing their support for me.
